Good day everypony!

Don’t worry, I won’t talk your ear off here. I already did that in the other posts. I just wanted to make sure you all had a single place to find all of our One Year Anniversary material!

First of all, let’s get things fired up with the new Gardens of Equestria Main Theme. I am SO VERY THRILLED with this. This is partially inspired by the introduction themes to Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, while spanning the entire music range of GoE itself. Corvus completely outdid himself. I totally freaked out when I heard the thunder bit in there and was going SQUEE SQUEE SQUEE for like ten minutes. But he also did something utterly amazing. At the very end, you might notice a familiar little tune. That is indeed the Fallout theme! While we’ll likely be tweaking it a bit here and there, this is what you’ll be hearing when you fire up GoE: This Coming Storm for the first time…or any time you fire up FO:NV with GoE loaded!

Next up, we have our debut of our amazing new Cinematics Lead, Scarlet Moon. With a ton of After Effects experience (and a ton of other experience that I can’t even begin to list), I am very happy to have someone with her talent on the team. It means I don’t have to do all the cinematics anymore! Yay! Someone who knows what they’re doing!

Since “This Coming Storm” (the song) is a very special song for the Fallout: Equestria universe, we wanted to give it a true and proper music video. (And I confess that I’ve come to hate my original cloud-based designs). So not only was this her “test project,” but it turned out excellent. So go enjoy the new epic sounds of “This Coming Storm.”

Finally, we have one more music trailer that we released early this morning. The Primm Basement sketch!

That wraps up our YouTube material for this week. But wait! There’s more!

If you happened to miss last week, we released the Topaz Lake Score video and more importantly, Smuggler’s Run 2.0! That’s right, new artwork, new file structure (it’s a big deal, really) and a radio station with the Smuggler’s Run Theme!

We’ve also completely updated the “Sounds of the Wasteland” page with all of our new music trailers!

I’ve also written up a One Year Anniversary Retrospective about the Manehattan Project Team, what started this whole thing and some of the wisdom I’ve gathered along the way.

Not only that, but we’ve announced the launch of The Manehattan Network, a new home for all things MLP Modding. Please remember that this is in the very early stages of development and may or may not pan out. It’ll depend entirely on you!

We’ve even got more material on the way in celebration, but it’s not quite ready yet. Don’t worry, soon ™!

We’ve also got three new members of the team!

    Scarlet Moon – Cinematics Lead:

How to even start? Scarlet Moon is an riddle wrapped in an enigma stuffed in a chimicherrychanga. Professionally, she is a special effects and motion designer, but mostly a huge geek and a super nerd. She has been a MLP and video games fanatic since a young child. After losing touch with MLP for several years, through the magic of friendship, she rekindled her love of everypony and met Novel Idea, who encouraged her to use her powers of movie magic for the good of Fallout: Equestria.

In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, drawing, painting, watching movies, making movies, playing games, and chilling with her cats. Her ideal time is building something with her hands, whether it’s a cake or a replica of Hobbiton.

    Mercer – Script Engineer

I’ve been modding Fallout: New Vegas for 2 years now, and have published two mods on Nexus. I applied for Script Engineer position after stumbling upon one of Novel Idea’s blogs. Finland FTW.

    Sunshine – QA Technician

Hi there! I’m Sunshine. I enjoy playing games, though I don’t get new games to play very often. I also write stories about ponies, participate in a pony-themed roleplaying group, and occasionally make pictures of ponies in Source Filmmaker. Funnily enough, I first discovered the Fallout series from Fallout: Equestria. And when I did, it was love at first sight. And now I’m a QA tester for GoE, putting my love of Fallout and Fo:E to a more practical use. I’m looking forward to doing my part for the Manehatten Project.

That’s it for this week folks. I’m totally exhausted. This took a heck of a lot out of me.

So until next week, have fun out there!

Fillies and gentlecolts, welcome to week one of our one year anniversary celebration!

I'm utterly delighted to announce that we've done some awesome new updates in Smuggler's Run, our preview mod for Fallout: New Vegas!

At the request of a few people, you now have direct access to the Smuggler's Run Theme anywhere in the Wasteland through the Visionary Broadcast, a new radio station! Now, it's just that theme for now, but we'll be improving upon it in the coming weeks!

Not only that, but we have a ton of new artwork for you to enjoy! The ripples caused by the strange reality changes have now changed even more of the Wasteland, so you'll now have Blue Nova's amazing Steel Ranger poster, but you'll also get a revised version of Pinkie Bombs, Giddy Up Applejack, I have a Science Degree in Science and for the first time, Captain Cosmos has been replaced by none other than Daring Do and the Quest for the Sapphire Statue! At present, we only have these as standard posters and haven't gotten to the Lightbox versions yet, but those are on the way. You'll also get the Rocks are Cool poster and Vinyl's Rave poster!

But wait, there's more! You'll also get the Rarity Sierra Maredre poster and the Iron Will Sunset Sarsaparilla posters by Pixelkitties!

Not only that, but everything has been now compacted into a single .BSA archive file so no more worrying about files going all over the place. This is more a background change, but it'll make updates a hell of a lot easier in the future for everyone.

And we've saved the best for last. Blue Nova has fought through intense migraines and crazy work schedules to create something truly epic for you.

The flag of Equestria herself, which will now replace ALL US Flags in game!

So what are you waiting for? Head over to the Nexus and get it right now!

But we're not done yet!

We've also got another new Music Score for you! This week is Topaz Lake, the headquarters of the Visionary forces in Appleloosa Valley. While Redeye sends the orders, it is the mysterious Gemstone who carries them out. So take a look at the latest screenshots of Topaz Lake with our brand-new music trailer!

That's it for this week folks. Just wait until next week...because we're going to blow your socks off with what we have in store for you!

Have a great day and enjoy the updates!

Happy Thursday everypony!

Novel Idea here with your usual Manehattan Update. As promised, we have the next two new music trailers. Though the Smuggler’s Run Theme remains firmly ensconced at the top of my favorites list, he definitely knocked it out of the park with both of these pieces. The best part about working with Corvus is that I can give him this really abstract idea of what I’m looking for in level music (or just show him what I have done for the level itself) and he can just whip up music that matches it more perfectly than I imagined.

Stable 16 is inspired by the ill-fated Stable 24 in Fallout: Equestria with one very specific difference: there’s much more than just monsters in the depths of this Stable. I wanted haunting, eerie music where you were sure something was about to jump out at you…because it will…oh it will. I remember when I first walked through the level in-game after my first design pass. Hell, it creeped me out and I designed the damn thing! Corvus nailed it. So if you haven’t heard it, hit the link below to check out the new music trailer for Stable 16!

Next we have the worldspace music for Appleloosa Valley itself. You’ll be hearing this a lot as you wander through the expanse of Appleloosa Valley, journeying to Stable 16, New Appleloosa, Topaz Lake, the Rock Farm and more. I wanted something that gave a feel of fresh wide-open spaces, a place where you still have that frontier feel that New Appleloosa gave you, but a bit wider. I wanted something that felt a bit like Firefly’s frontier worlds. The Wasteland is here, but it isn’t in the soil. Remember, Appleloosa Valley was never hit by a megaspell through the protection of the Rock Farm’s defense grid and the unexpected help from the nearby Lucky 38. We also wanted something a bit more iconic and memorable than the basic New Vegas Wasteland theme, but wouldn’t be too distracting from the gameplay. (It’s a hard balance). But now, sit back and relax and listen to the wonderful strumming of the Appleloosa Valley theme.

That’s all for this week folks, nice and short. Next week, you’ll be getting the last two of the musical score trailers.

But did you know that the week after that is the one year anniversary of the Manehattan Project? That’s right. On May 7, 2015, we unveiled Gardens of Equestria to the world with a full website, a remastered edition of Fallout: Equestria audiobook (the only complete version of the audiobook available at the time) and the GoE Teaser Trailer.

Wow…it’s hard to believe we’ve come so far since then.

So on May 5, 2016, we’re going to have some really cool and really special for you. A few really cool somethings to celebrate this special anniversary. It’ll blow your mind. Hell, another cool idea just came to me as I was writing this and we’ll be doing that too!

You’ll definitely want to be here on May 5. Because it’s going to be awesome.

Greetings all! I've decided that I'll be posting my GoE blog entries here as well as our main site. After all, we've got cool stuff and I want to share it with you!

Happy Thursday everypony!

Sorry about the last couple weeks. We’ve been hard at work on a multitude of projects, but some of them are secrets and some of them aren’t quite ready enough to show you. After all, we only want to provide the best for you!

It’s in that vein that I am so very proud to present to you the latest in our series of trailers and the beginning of our music relaunch!

Now, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but in Fallout: New Vegas, the music tends to be on the subtle side. In fact, in many places, it’s barely noticeable at all. Thankfully, Fallout 4 has taken a different approach (My favorite in-game music has to be the one in the Switchboard and the Railroad HQ) and that’s the approach we want. Music is an integral component of any gaming experience. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…some of the best gaming experiences I’ve ever had were to epic scores. Such as my all-time favorite, the finale to Mass Effect 2.

But we wanted to give you a better picture of just where you’ll be hearing this music in GoE. So we’ve designed a new series of trailers highlighting some of the awesome areas awaiting you in This Coming Storm. Blue Nova, our Creative Asset Director, took charge and created some cool subtle visualizer effects to the Manehattan Shield along with setting up the slideshow. Exterior shots were done with the help of the wonderful Nevada Skies mod (which we strongly recommend no matter what!).

Music, as always, is by our incomparable and irreplaceable Music & Audio Director, Corvus. Level design and trailer design is by Novel Idea.

Now let’s get to it already!

Don’t worry, we’ve got more on the way! We’ll be releasing two of these a week for the new couple of weeks. After that, you’ll get a special preview of the enormous Overmare’s Quarters of Stable 207, a massive living space for you and all your companions (and the second player home in GoE!)

Not only that, but we may have something even cooler for you either next week or the week after. A special treat. But it’s a surprise, so I can’t tell you more.

That’s it for this week folks! Have an awesome day and we’ll see you next week!
